What happens in a lesson?

  1. Learn one useful idea. Each lesson begins with three short explanations, supported by game images or an example.
  2. Try five questions. Choose an answer and check it. If you miss one, read the explanation and try the question again. Your first submitted answer remains recorded.
  3. Practise when you want. Completed lessons unlock four flashcards. Optional mini challenges let you match images or put ideas into order.
  4. Bring a chapter together. Finish its three lessons to open a five-question checkpoint. Four correct first answers pass it and unlock the next chapter. Retries are unlimited.

CHAPTER 01 · START HERE

Getting started

Understand the goal of a match, find the main areas of the map and recognise the information on your screen.

  1. The goal and the route

Learn what wins a match and what stands in the way.

    What you’ll learn
    • Identify destroying the enemy Nexus as the win condition.
    • Recognise the basic route through defensive structures toward the Nexus.
    • Explain how allied minions can help a champion attack a turret.
  2. Find your bearings

Meet the map and the five positions on your team.

    What you’ll learn
    • Distinguish lanes, jungle, and river.
    • Recognise the five positions and their usual starting arrangement.
    • Distinguish a team position from a champion class.
  3. Read your champion’s screen

Check your health, abilities, and resources before you act.

    What you’ll learn
    • Distinguish health from champion-specific ability resources.
    • Check ability cooldown and resource requirements separately.
    • Recognise a safe, appropriate return to base for shopping.

CHAPTER 02 · BUILD ON THE BASICS

Know your champion

Once the screen makes sense, learn what your champion can do and separate damage, scaling and defence.

  1. Your kit and its limits

Meet your passive, abilities, and basic attack—then check what each needs.

    What you’ll learn
    • Distinguish passive, basic abilities, and ultimate within a champion kit.
    • Distinguish an ordinary basic attack from casting an ability.
    • Check range, cooldown, and resource requirements in a simplified practice situation.
  2. Damage versus scaling

Separate what strengthens an ability from the damage it deals.

    What you’ll learn
    • Identify AD and AP as scaling stats, not damage types.
    • Distinguish physical, magic, and true damage at a basic level.
    • Read scaling and damage type separately in a hypothetical tooltip.
  3. Shop with a plan

Match a basic defence to a threat and follow an item’s build path.

    What you’ll learn
    • Relate armour, magic resistance, and maximum health to their different purposes.
    • Distinguish a component from a completed item and inspect the intended recipe.
    • Choose a basic defensive stat for a simplified stated damage threat.

CHAPTER 03 · USE YOUR TOOLS IN LANE

Lane foundations

Put champion knowledge into small decisions: collect resources, choose an exchange and plan a return to base.

  1. Earn while you learn

Separate last-hit gold from nearby experience, then practise collecting safely.

    What you’ll learn
    • Identify a last hit as the finishing hit that normally earns minion kill gold.
    • Separate nearby minion experience and levels from last-hit gold.
    • Choose a safer learning or farming opportunity under stated conditions.
  2. Safer short trades

Look for a brief opening without forgetting range, resources, or minions.

    What you’ll learn
    • Distinguish a short exchange from committing fully to a fight.
    • Consider minion damage, distance, resources, and available abilities together.
    • Choose an appropriate brief action and retreat in a controlled opening.
  3. Leave lane with a reason

Notice your wave, plan a useful purchase, and put safety before a perfect setup.

    What you’ll learn
    • Recognise a wave, pushing, and a simple crash without advanced wave calculations.
    • Relate a recall and spending gold to a useful purchase or recovery.
    • Prioritise a safer return when preparing the wave would be dangerous.

CHAPTER 04 · LOOK BEYOND YOUR LANE

Read the map

Use vision and the minimap to separate current information from guesses before you move.

  1. See what you know

Separate a current sighting from a guess about the darkness.

    What you’ll learn
    • Distinguish current vision from unobserved space.
    • Separate current sightings, remembered positions, and guesses.
    • Use missing information to reassess a controlled movement decision.
  2. Ward with a question

Choose useful information without taking a dangerous trip to collect it.

    What you’ll learn
    • Recognise a ward as a source of limited information.
    • Consider terrain, unseen routes, and safety before placing a ward.
    • Select a ward location for a stated question and recognise basic vision denial.
  3. Check before you move

Communicate what you know and consider what leaving your lane costs.

    What you’ll learn
    • Use Enemy Missing and On My Way as information and intent signals, not guarantees.
    • Recognise the wave and travel costs of leaving a lane.
    • Consider a safe route and actual ally readiness before a simple coordinated move.

CHAPTER 05 · FIND YOUR TEAM RESPONSIBILITY

Learn your position

Connect the lane and map fundamentals to the five positions without locking a champion into one job.

  1. Solo lanes, shared priorities

Give Top and Mid a clear job, then make your practice manageable.

    What you’ll learn
    • Recognise Top and Mid’s shared income and safety responsibilities without class locks.
    • Check the assigned position and applicable role quest rather than inferring a swap from location.
    • Choose a focused practice plan and account for lane costs before helping elsewhere.
  2. Bot works as a pair

Coordinate damage, income, protection, and movement with your lane partner.

    What you’ll learn
    • Recognise Bot and Support’s complementary responsibilities without fixed class requirements.
    • Distinguish ordinary lane farming from conditional support-item income.
    • Consider the partner’s availability and protection before a shared lane action.
  3. Jungle connects the map

Balance camp income with useful help instead of forcing every lane visit.

    What you’ll learn
    • Recognise camps and clearing as a regular jungle income task.
    • Distinguish ganks and counterganks without assuming every visit must produce a kill.
    • Compare an available farm action with a lane intervention using information and ally readiness.

CHAPTER 06 · BRING IT TOGETHER

Win objectives together

Check resources, information and available help, then turn a useful opening into progress as a team.

  1. Turn pressure into progress

Use a useful opening to gain map progress, not just another chase.

    What you’ll learn
    • Distinguish a map objective from a champion kill or an unused advantage.
    • Check allied minions, threats, and time before a turret opportunity.
    • Use a controlled safe opening for useful progress, then reassess.
  2. Prepare before the monster

Match the objective’s purpose to your team’s information and available tools.

    What you’ll learn
    • Recognise major neutral objectives, buffs, and the need for current mode information.
    • Check team tools, readiness, waves, and vision before an objective attempt.
    • Understand Smite’s broad securing role without assuming it guarantees an objective.
  3. Choose the next useful step

Decide whether to finish, change focus, leave, or recover after gaining an advantage.

    What you’ll learn
    • Choose useful progress after a favourable action rather than chasing automatically.
    • Distinguish finishing an objective, turning to opponents, retreating, and conceding.
    • Recognise recovery and spending as a useful conversion of a completed opening.

Course scope and review

This course teaches foundations for PC Summoner’s Rift. Use League’s in-game tutorial alongside it to learn movement and controls. It does not cover Wild Rift, advanced matchups or a complete champion/item roster. There are 120 authored questions across lessons and checkpoints; checkpoint retries use the same five questions.

Gameplay sources were checked on 18 October 2026. Independent human gameplay review and beginner playtesting remain pending. Current in-game descriptions take priority when systems change.
